Arun Jaitley Stadium, previously known as Feroz Shah Kotla, is one of the iconic stadiums of India, very much known for its lightning-fast outfield and for producing high-scoring games. The stadium was established in 1883, becoming the 2nd-oldest stadium in India after Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Situated in the center of New Delhi, the stadium officially seats around 41,842 after renovation in 2019.

The stadium got its new name, Arun Jaitley, after the former Delhi Cricket Association president Arun Jaitley, while retaining its historic identity connected to Kotla Fort. This stadium features two ends: Stadium End and Pavilion End, along with modern LED floodlights to host d/n matches. Despite its age, the stadium has been continuously modernized, and under Jaitley's leadership, it saw major renovations, including better seating, improved player facilities, and upgraded spectator amenities.

The stadium serves as the home ground for the Delhi State (Ranji) team, the Delhi Capitals in the IPL, and occasionally hosts the Indian national team, making it a central hub for both domestic and international cricket. Notably, this stadium also remains the home ground for Virat Kohli, who played his first and final first-class match here. The current Indian coach, Gautam Gambhir, also hails from Delhi and shares a deep connection with this venue.

The dry surface is often known for producing high scorers, helping out the batters with the lightning-fast outfield, along with the smallest boundaries. Bowling here is a huge challenge considering there’s less room for error, especially in limited-overs matches.
