The Mumbai Indians have been met with a big blow. Star batter Rohit Sharma is missing the crucial LSG vs MI clash in IPL 2025 on April 04 at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. The former MI skipper is injured and thus won't be able to take any part in the game.
The current MI skipper, Hardik Pandya, said that Rohit was hit in the knee in the nets and thus missed out on the crucial encounter.
"It is tempting to watch other teams and play in a certain way but it is important to play sensibly. Rohit got hit in the knee in nets and he misses out. He should be back soon. Jasprit should be back soon" Hardik said.
Why is Rohit Sharma not playing?
The Mumbai Indians (MI) will be without the services of their ace batter, the Hitman - Rohit Sharma. The former MI skipper was hurt in the knee while practicing at the nets. As a result, the star batter would be unable to play any part in the LSG vs MI clash.
Apart from missing Rohit Sharma, ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah is yet to join the squad. As per reports, Bumrah is expected to join the squad after 2 games. So far in IPL 2025, Rohit Sharma is not having his best form. In the past 3 games, he went on to score just 0, 8, and 13 runs, respectively.
