The online world is buzzing with drama as a social media controversy involving cricketer Virat Kohli, singer Rahul Vaidya, and actress Avneet Kaur has taken a fiery turn.
The controversy, which began with Virat’s accidental Instagram like on a post featuring Kaur, has escalated into a full-blown feud, with his brother, Vikas Kohli, stepping in to defend the cricket star.
Vikas did not hold back, branding Vaidya a "loser" for mocking Virat Kohli and leveraging the situation for attention.

Vikas Kohli Fires Back, Calls Rahul Vaidya a Loser
Vaidya had been continuously taking digs at Virat on Instagram and after he was trolled, he hit back at the cricketer’s fans, labelling them jokers.
As the online backlash against Vaidya intensified, Vikas entered the scene with a scathing response. He took to Threads to slam the singer, accusing him of exploiting Virat’s name for clout during a time of national tension and wrote:
"Bache itni mehnat agar apni singing pai karle to shayad apni mehnat se famous ho jaae.…(Kid, if you would have worked hard enough on your singing, you might have been famous) While the whole nation is focused on the current situation of whats going on... this idiot is on a mission to gain followers and become famous taking Virat's name....WHAT A LOSER"
How Did the Controversy Start?
It all started when eagle-eyed fans noticed that Virat’s verified Instagram account had liked a glamorous photo from a fan page dedicated to the actress. This quickly went viral, prompting speculation and memes across social media.
Virat, known for his private persona and long-standing marriage to actress Anushka Sharma, addressed the buzz via an Instagram story, attributing the like to an algorithmic glitch.
"I’d like to clarify that while clearing my feed, it appears the algorithm may have mistakenly registered an interaction. There was absolutely no intent behind it. I request that no unnecessary assumptions be made. Thank you for your understanding, Virat wrote.
"So guys, Virat Kohli has blocked me, as you all know. I think that too is an Instagram glitch. Instagram ke algorithm ne bola hoga Virat Kohli ko ki, ‘Ek kaam kar, main tere behalf pe Rahul Vaidya ko block kar deti hoon’. Hain na?" Vaidya posted.
"Main kehna chahta hoon ki aaj ke baad aisa ho sakta hai ki algorithm bohot saare photos like kar de jo maine nahi kiye. So, jo bhi ladki ho, please don’t do PR around it because it is not my mistake. It is Instagram’s mistake, okay?" he added.
As Virat’s fans trolled Vaidya and even abused his wife and sister as claimed by him, he called them ever bigger jokers than Virat, further igniting the controversy.
