India skipper Suryakumar Yadav shut down the on-field rivalry with Pakistan after his side's commanding six-wicket victory in the ongoing Asia Cup Super 4 clash on Sunday, September 21, in Dubai. Stressing on India's one-sided dominance in the recent head-to-head battles, the contest can no longer be called a rivalry as Australia vs England. The Men in Blue, since 2022, have won seven matches against Pakistan in ODIs and T20Is, showing who is the real boss.
In the ongoing Continental Cup, the Surya-led side has beaten Pakistan twice, that too with relative ease. Salman Agha-led side did not have any answers to India's dominance with bat and ball on both occasions. Now the Asia Cup head-to-head record is 12-3, a clear reflection of the gulf in quality between these two Asian sides.

After India's thumping win over Pakistan on Sunday, leader Surya dismissed the over hype around the rivalry. The right-hand batter pointed to the one-sided dominance by his side, stressing the contest no longer qualifies as a rivalry, and credited India's phenomenal all-round performance.
“You guys should stop asking questions about the rivalry between India-Pakistan. According to me, if the two teams are playing 15-20 games, and the scoreline is 7-7 or 8-7, then it is called a rivalry. 10-0, 10-1, I don't know what the stat is, but this is not a rivalry anymore. I think we played better cricket than them (Pakistan), and also from a bowling point of view,” Suryakumar Yadav said in the post-match press conference.

Pakistan no match to the quality of cricket India playing
After the only loss in the World Cups in the T20 edition in 2021, India has maintained an absolute supremacy over Men in Green in white-ball formats, winning seven one-sided matches. The streak clearly highlights India's quality and all-round brilliance with bat, ball, and field, proving to be too strong for the arch-rivals.
