Batting icon Sachin Tendulkar has confirmed his son Arjun Tendulkar’s engagement with his fiancée Saaniya Chandhok. In the process, he has put an end to all the speculations and unnecessary controversy.
As per reports, Arjun got engaged to Saaniya in a private ceremony in Mumbai attended only by close friends and family. Despite the widespread speculation on social media, neither of broke made the announcement official.
Now, Sachin Tendulkar, in an interaction with the social media platform Reddit, has confirmed that the two did get engaged and made the announcement official.

Tendulkar has confirmed a previous report by India Today that said that Arjun Tendulkar and Saaniya Chandhok got engaged on August 13, in a private ceremony. There was another report that said that the two had been childhood friends.
Did Arjun really get engaged??” Sachin was asked in his Ask Me Anything” (AMA) session on Reddit to which he responded in the positive. “Yes, he did, and we are all very excited for the new phase in his life” Tendulkar responded saying.
Speaking about Arjun Tendulkar, he has been a part of the Mumbai Indians in the IPL over the years but has failed to get consistent opportunities. He has played a handful of games for the five-time champions in IPL 2023 and 2024. He did not get a game in IPL 2025 for MI.
Arjun has been plying his trade for Goa in domestic cricket. He plays in the side as an all-rounder. In 17 matches, he has taken 37 wickets and scored 532 runs. He has also played 24 T20 matches, picking up 27 wickets. The all-rounder has played 18 List-A games, picking up 25 wickets in the process.

Who Is Saaniya Chandhok
Saaniya hails from one of the most prominent business families of Mumbai, the Ghai family. She is the granddaughter of Ravi Ghai, who is a well-known name in the hospitality and food industries. The family also owns the Inter Continental Hotel and the popular ice cream brand Brooklyn Creamery. Saaniya was seen cheering for the Mumbai Indians as well, alongside Sara Tendulkar and has been often spotted alongside Arjun.
