Former Indian Cricket Team batter Virender Sehwag has gone all guns blazing into bashing the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batters. RCB lost by 5 wickets to Punjab Kings (PBKS) in a rain-curtailed game at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. But the blame falls on RCB batters who failed to score runs and triggered an entire batting collapse for the team.
Virender Sehwag was extremely displeased with the batters. He claimed that none of the batters used their common sense while batting. For the unversed, the game was cut down to a 14-over clash after rain played spoilsport. Batting first, RCB could only manage to score 95 runs for 9 wickets. The only saving grace was Tim David, who hammered an unbeaten 50-run knock from 26 deliveries.
Sehwag blasts RCB batters for poor show
"RCB batted poorly. All of them played reckless shots to get out. Not a single batter was out to a good ball. At least one batter should've used common sense. If they had wickets in hand, they could have reached 110 or 120 in 14 overs, which would have given them a chance to fight," Sehwag said on Cricbuzz.
RCB went on to lose their 3rd match at their home. The team has been inconsistent this season. While the side has raked up some strong wins in away venues, they have now suffered a hattrick of losses at home.

Sehwag also claimed that the Punjab Kings bowlers deserve the credit. The PBKS bowlers bowled in tandem and went on to restrict RCB to a mere score of 95 runs for 9 wickets in 14 overs. "There is difference between getting wickets and earning wickets," he said.
Sehwag went on to express concerns about RCB captain Rajat Patidar's attempt to shush the fault of the batters.
"Patidar has to think and come up with a solution. They have not been winning at home. Their bowlers are doing well but why are their batters faltering regularly? It's not alright if your batters continuously fail at home. Who is going to rectify that?" Sehwag asked.
