In a massive boost for Bangladesh Cricket, Nasir Hossain has returned to competitive cricket following a two-year ban after getting a green signal from the International Cricket Council (ICC). The 33-year-old was handed a ban in September 2023 with a six-month suspension for breaching the ICC's Anti-Corruption Code.
As it is reported, Hossain is said to have served all the criteria of the ban and is now ready to resume playing cricket at the professional level.

"As per the terms of the sanction, Nasir Hossain has now fulfilled all requirements, including completing the mandatory Anti-Corruption Education session. This has paved the way for his eligibility to re-enter official cricket as of April 7, 2025," said the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) in its official statement.

Nasir Hossain returns to play competitive cricket for Bangladesh
For the unversed, Hossain has represented Bangladesh in 115 matches across all the formats between 2011 and 2018. The 33-year-old returned to competitive cricket with the ongoing Dhaka Premier League (DHL) where he turned out for Rupganj Tigers against Gazi Group Cricketers at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. It came as soon as he was cleared by ICC of all charges.
