The IPL 2025 week one will conclude on Sunday with two double-headers scheduled. DC and SRH play the first game in Vizag while CSK and RR play the second game in Guwahati.
Heading into the finishing stages of the first week, Royal Challengers Bangalore have a chance to stay at the top of if they beat CSK at the Chepauk on Friday.
Every team have played atleast one match so far. LSG, SRH, KKR and RR have played two matches each. CSK and RCB will play their respective second games when they take on each other in Chennai on Friday.

Nicholas Pooran- The West Indian big-hitter is leading the Orange Cap table so far with 145 runs from two games at an average of 72.50. He has scored two back to back fifties in the first two games. The southpaw scored 75 off 30 balls in the match against Delhi Capitals. Unfortunately, it came in a losing cause. He then scored 70 off 26 balls against SRH which came in a winning cause. Pooran has been striking so far at 258.93.
Mitchell Marsh- Marsh from LSG is second on the Orange Cap leaderboard. He has scored 124 runs from two games with back to back fifties as well. Against Delhi Capitals, he scored 72 off 36 balls. In the next match against SRH, he scored 52 off 31 balls against SRH a knock that came in a winning cause. Marsh has been striking at 185.07.
Travis Head- The southpaw is third in the list of top run-getters as of now with 114 runs from two games at an averge of 57. He strike rate in the first two games is 193.22. He scored 67 against RR and 47 against LSG in his first two games.

Purple Cap Leaderboard
Shardul Thakur - Interestngly, of all the bowlers Shardul Thakur is leading the Purple Cap race at the moment with six wickest from two matches. He went usold in the mega auction and then joined LSG as a replacement for Mohsin Khan. He picked 4/35 against SRH and turned the match on its head for LSG giving the Sunrisers their first defeat of the season.
Noor Ahmed - The Afghanistan mystery spinner is second on the Purple Cap list. He took four wickets in his first match against Mumbai Indians. He dismissed the likes of Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Robin Minz and Naman Dhir. In a team of Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin, Noor hogged the limelight against MI. Noor also has the best economy so far among all the bowlers (4.50).
Khaleel Ahmed - The left-arm pacer is among the 11 bowlers who have taken three wickets in the tournament so far. However, he ranks third on the list as he has the best average (9.67). In terms of economy rate, he is the sixth-best in the list at 7.25.
Talking about big hits, Pooran has hit the most sixes in the tournament so far. He tops the list with 12 sixes, followed by Shreyas Iyer (9) and Mitchell Marsh (8).
