IPL 2025 Match 47 RR vs GT Highlights: Shubman Gill, Jos Buttler Boss Rajasthan's Bowling

Gujarat Titans (GT) scored 209 runs in the first innings of the 47th match of the Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025) against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on April 28.

Rajasthan Royals won the toss and opted to bowl. Gujarat Titans' openers Shubman Gill (84 runs off 50 balls) and Sai Sudharsan (39 runs off 30 balls) continued their solid show with the bat, providing their team with yet another remarkable start.

Shubman was the aggressor of the two. He took the pressure off Sudharshan, who started off well but slowed down later. GT scored 53 runs in the powerplay.

Shubman brought up his fifty off 29 deliveries with a single off Wanindu Hasaranga in the 10th over. GT’s score read 92/0 at the 10-over mark.

Maheesh Theekshana struck in the 11th over, giving RR the breakthrough they needed in the form of Sudharsan's wicket.

It did not deter the GT captain, who tonked a six off Sandeep Sharma in the 12th over. 15 runs came off the 14th over bowled by Yudhvir Singh as Shubman smacked the pacer for two more sixes.

Jos Buttler (50* runs off 26 balls), who was playing the second fiddle to Shubman, took the matter in his own hands, and led a boundary-spree in the 15th over, smashing three maximums and a four off Hasaranga. Buttler collected another boundary in the 16th over as the Titans eyed a total of over 200 runs.

Shubman took on Theekshana in the 17th over. Soon after hitting a four, he went for an aerial shot down the ground but got holed out at long-off.

While RR would have expected some relief after Shubman's dismissal, there was no stopping Buttler, who treated Jofra Archer with a six and four in the 18th over. Washington Sundar (13 runs off 8 balls) also did not hold himself back and hooked the ball for six runs off Archer.

Sandeep got rid of Sundar in the 19th over that costed the Royals just nine runs. Bowling the final over, Archer was belted for a six on the first ball by Rahul Tewatia (9 runs off 4 balls) but the speedster sent the southpaw packing on the following delivery.

Shahrukh Khan (5* runs off 2 balls) smashed a boundary to begin his innings. Buttler ran a two on the last ball to bring up his fourth fifty of the season.

Gujarat Titans eventually finished at 209 runs for the loss of four wickets in their 20 overs.
