Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) skipper Rajat Patidar was spotted with a hand bandage ahead of RCB's next match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Friday, May 09. The right-hand batter injured his finger while he attempted to stop the ball from Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja.

According to reports, Patidar might miss RCB's next match against LSG at the Ekana Stadium on Friday. However, the other positive news is that the 31-year-old will be available for RCB's next games. After the game against LSG, RCB is set to face Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on May 13 and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on May 17 in their final league stage match. RCB is well on course to qualify for the playoff stage, currently second on the points table, with 16 points from 11 games.

For the unversed, Rajat Patidar injured his finger in the 11th over of CSK's second innings when Jadeja attempted a shot towards the extra-cover region. The right-hand batter was immediately taken off the field by the physios.

RCB needs one win to seal a playoff berth

Speaking about RCB, the three-time finalists need just one win from three games to seal a playoff berth. 18 points are enough for a qualification spot, and currently, RCB has 16 points. A win from all three games will enable them to get a top-two finish and give them two shots at reaching the final of the IPL 2025 event.
