After a blockbuster Border Gavaskar trophy Down Under, India will yet again be touring Australia to play eight white-ball games. Cricket Australia (CA) confirmed the fixtures for their home summer after confirming the schedule for the Ashes, CA on Sunday (March 30) also announced that the Australian men's team will be playing in every state and territory during the bumper upcoming home summer for the first time.
India start of their white-ball tour of Australia by playing three ODIs on October 19, 23 an 25 in Perth, Adelaide and Sydney respectively. The teams then shift to Canberra for the opening T20 with the next four matches scheduled in Melbourne, Hobart, Gold Coast and Brisbane.
Before hosting India, Australia will also be hosting South Africa for three T20Is and three ODIs. The highlight of these six white-ball games is the fixture in Darwin. The cricketing action will return to this venue after 17 years. South Africa will be playing the first two games of the T20I series with the final match scheduled in Cairns. The three match ODI series will also kick start in Cairns, before moving to Mackay in the final two matches.
Before the Ashes, Australia gears up to play white-ball series against South Africa & India
For the unversed, Australia are also scheduled to play Ashes at home starting on November 21 in Perth. While Australia will only be having a 12-day gap after white-ball action against South Africa and India, the team is gearing up for intense white-ball games from both these tough sides. Over the last 15 years, it is only South Africa & India that have regularly given tough competition to Australia in the bilateral series in all three formats of the game.
With also T20 World Cup 2026 starting tentatively in February, it is good for all three teams to get the combinations right before the showpiece events get underway.
