Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj has vowed of Team India’s comeback in the fourth Test in Manchester starting from July 23. The Men in Blue are 2-1 down in the series despite dominating for the major part of the series.

England won the first Test at Headingley, followed by India drawing the series at Edgbaston. The Indian team had the upper hand heading into the third Test at Lord’s.

They were on the front foot for most of the Test match. Needing 135 runs to win on the final day with six wickets remaining, Team India were in touching distance of a memorable victory.

Could Have Been 2-1 - Mohammed Siraj On Lord's Loss

After Jasprit Bumrah’s resistance, Md Siraj also dig deep, allowing Ravindra Jadeja to score from the other end. However, Siraj was dismissed in an unfortunate manner with the ball tricking down to dislodge his leg stump. It was a heartbreaking loss that denied India go 2-1 up in the series.

“I am very emotional. It could have been 2-1. Jaddu bhai fought so hard but then I told myself the series isn’t over & I will work on my batting. We’ve been working hard on our batting since the Australia tour, losing by 22 runs was heartbreaking,” Siraj said in his press conference
The next Test is a must-win match for the Indian team to level the series. They have to win the next Test to take it to the decider at The Oval. The visitors are facing injury concerns, with Nitish Kumar Reddy ruled out of the remaining series with a knee injury. Arshdeep Singh has been ruled out of the next Test as he injured his bowling arm. Akash Deep is also doubtful as he picked up a groin niggle.

India Weighing Options After Reddy, Arshdeep Ruled Out

Siraj further confirmed that Jasprit Bumrah will play the next Test. Meanwhile, the selectors have called up Anshul Kamboj with Reddy ruled out. Including Bumrah and Kamboj, Shardul Thakur and Prasidh Krishna are the other seam options India can consider in Manchester.
