India batting first in 2nd Test
India made three changes to their line-up, bringing in Washington Sundar, Nitish Kumar Reddy, and Akash Deep in place of Jasprit Bumrah, Sai Sudharsan, and Shardul Thakur. The line-up looks balanced on paper.
India were forced to bat first at Edgbaston and started steadily, despite the early loss of KL Rahul, who was bowled by Chris Woakes in the 8th over. Karun Nair and Yashasvi Jaiswal are currently at the crease, counter-attacking the early swing and building a solid partnership despite a few decisions going against England due to the umpire's call.
