AUS vs SA: Match Preview
Lhuan-dre Pretorious, Dewald Brevis, Matthew Breetzke, & Prenalan Subrayen are the few young players who will be vying to cement their place in the 50-over format for the Proteas. Among those, Breetzke scored a scintillating 150 on debut against Pakistan earlier this year. While the other three are yet to make their ODI debuts. However, Brevis & Pretorious have managed to impress in T20Is. The former had a phenomenal T20 series, scoring 180 runs at a mind-boggling strike rate of 204.
It remains to be seen if Brevis makes his debut in ODIs, considering the rich vein of form he is in. As far as Pretorious is concerned, he has not set the stage on fire in the T20Is against Australia; however, the youngster showed glimpses of his precocious talent. Besides these exciting duos, the rest of the Proteas batting bares a similar look - Aiden Markram, Ryan Rickelton, Rassie van der Dussen, Tristan Stubbs, & David Miller.
